Sam's musing #3

Yesterday we went to the city museum and I went on a bus that was hanging of the edge of the roof. Us kids went on a big red slide, also went on another big slide. I went into a big whale and under it.

Under the whale I saw a bunch of passages-  like 5 or so.  It was cool.

We went under a giant praying mantis.  And we climbed into these awesome spinny chairs.

City farm

2 days a go we went to a city museum and there were a lot of stuff to climb on.  There was also a ball pit.  It was really slippery in there.  The balls were big rubber balls about the size of our heads. About every three steps I took I fell on 10 other balls. I made a new friend named Abigail and in the ball pit one time I fell down. I made 5 balls fly up and Abigail caught one she said thanks. But than she got knocked down by a ball. Sam was shooting balls at my head on accident. He claims he was trying to hit Mikayla. But you still weren't supposed to do head shots. He always yelled he's head off when I accidentally hit him in the head.
Something else we saw was Grants farm and there we got to feed goats! It was so fun. All you had to do was hold a bottle of milk and they would come right to you. Three of them tried to eat my dress! I almost stepped on some that were trying to eat my dress.

City museum

Yesterday we went to the city museum. After we went to the top to get to the bottom we went on a ten story slide. It was awesome. Then when we got of at the bottom we got lost. There were so many little holes and paths. Sammy and Isabelle kept thinking the exit was a tiny whole but obviously it wouldn't be so small that only kids could fit. Especially because once you got to the top the only way to get down was the slide or stairs. Dad took the stairs and the rest of us took the slide. Finally we found the entrance. It happened to be at the spot we began. It was annoying. After we got out mom was like we are never going to find dad. Later us kids were playing in the other areas were there were tunnels and secret passages it was a blast. We met up with some people the day before and went they were there from 10:00 to 4:00 and now we know why. At the city museum there were really cool chairs.

Farming with MK

Yesterday we went to Grant's Farm. At Grant's Farm we went on a tram ride to get to the animals. On the tram ride we saw a few animals: Odays, Buffalo, Carianta, Long horns, Yaks, Highlander,  Anacoly Cow, Ostrich, Deer, and Elk. Once we got of we saw: Llama, Goat, Chickens, Ducks, Turtle, Iguana, Elephant, Flamingo, Crane, White Stork, Pony, Camels, Horse, Donkey, and Cavy which is like a Kangaroo. While we were there we got to see an animal show. In the show there was a Parrot on Roller Skates, a parasol and a macaw putting away rings, a different macaw doing math, an owl flying, rats racing on humans, and an eagle flying.

St Louis Whirlwind

We visited two attractions yesterday and could have made a whole day of either if them!  First we went to Grant's Farm, which is the original estate if Ulysses S Grant, and now owned by the Aneheiser-Busch family.  It is a cool farm with lots if animal shows, activities, and free beer!  Kids will post more.  (Well, not about the beer!)

We also went to the City Museum.  It is in downtown St Louis and it appears to be created by hippies who were trippin.  It's totally insane and the kids loved it.  You can climb in every space, ceiling and tunnel - and there are probably hundreds! The roof has a bus and airplane hanging off it, and you can climb in this too. I rode the 10-story slide from the roof to the cave rooms, and proceeded to get list for at least 10 minutes.  The kids would have stayed there all day.

We met some old friends for dinner and awesome BBQ, and ended the evening
at the Drive-in!  If you have to watch Smurfs2, it's the only way to do it!

Sam's Musings #2

We are going to the City Museum today. We saw the Arch already.  In the Arch we went in a capsule.  It was really really small.  There were exactly five seats in the capsule.  And we got to go all the way up the Arch.

We went to the baseball game.  We saw Fred Bird, the mascot.  He had a camera on his head, and he shot funny video and pictures.

Today we are also going to Grant Farm and a drive-in movie theater.

From Louisville to St Louis

Long exhausting day!  Woke up this morning and drove to St Louis.  After a lunch stop, we arrived around 3pm.  We chilled out for about an hour before heading downtown to the Arch.  The kids were so excited to see it when we drive in, that we decided to head there before the Cardinals game.

We got out tickets and checked out the museum about western expansion.  The wait to go up was long.  The kids lived the tiny egg-like pod you sit in though, so the trip to the top was a success!

We got to the game a little late (it was a 6:00 start) and got our bobble head.  It was a good game, but the cardinals lost. Crashing home now.  More tomorrow.
