Cheese and Beer

In other words, Milwaukee!  We had a great time in this city, enjoying its sins!

First stop was Lakeside brewery.  They provided an informative tour with 4 6-oz beer samples of your choice! They also provided a free pint glass.  Their beer was good, but I have to say their root beer was the best I have ever tasted.  We bought a few to go!

Then we went to the Clock Shadow Creamery to learn about cheese.  Most cheese makers are in Northern Wisconsin, but there is one downtown.   They showed us how they make cheddar.  It was very interesting and we got to try several flavors of cheddar.  If course, we bought some!  They also share space with a dairy, so we got some tummy ice cream samples too!

Next came the Wisconsin Cheese Mart and tasting bar.  So many choices, so many to try!  We bought our yearly recommended amount if cheese for the whole family!!

Next we drove out to a pretty park and beer garden to meet Justin's friend, Eli and his 3 kids.  We enjoyed beer and giant Bavarian pretzels while the kids played.

Finally it was time to head to the Brewers game.  What a pretty stadium!

We enjoyed the game, but were sad that we didn't see their mascot Bernie slide down the home run slide... Until we were leaving!  As we left the stadium in the 8th the Brewers got a home run and he slid down right next to us!!

Great time in Milwaukee!
